Why isn't there full disclosure?

He suffered a "Lower Leg" injury. Was it to his left or right leg? Is it to the leg he missed time with last year due to a "Lower Leg" injury that was deemed an injury to his calf? If so, could this be a reoccurring injury that warrants bigger concerns?

If he had fractured or broken a bone in his leg one would expect that the disclosure would have said so and maybe included other language such as undergoing X-rays. I'm not an expert on Orthopedic injury terms to the "Lower Leg" but short of it being some type of fracture or break I'm wondering what it could be other than something to do with his calf.

I expect a more detailed explanation is forthcoming soon. Of course, we should all wish and hope for JJ to fully recover in time for the regular season if not before then. Bless you brother!

When the source use words like "hope and belief for now" for his return at the start of the season, that sounds overly optimistic.

JJ is not a special tight end, he is serviceable at best. Hopefully Kubiak and DA can find an upgrade. I often hear the NFL is a copy cat league, but for some reason the Saints ignore the fact that most successful teams have a legit tight end. How long has it been since the Saints invested in the position? Who was the last really good tight end to wear the black and gold?

There definitely seemed to be a shift in philosophy once Kamara was drafted, although Jared Cook did well in 2019. Johnson was building a good rapport with Andy Dalton in 22, but took a step back last year. I'm sure Kubiak would've loved to have seen Bowers drafted, but hopefully he can get the most out of someone

He is a capable player but we have been suffering at the position since we traded Graham and converting a WR to the position is proof.

I agree, but it’s not only the lack of production in receiving yardage it’s the overall lack of ability to play the position at a high level which includes more than just receiving.
