If the Shockey deal is dead than we definatly need to address our need at TE. Re-sign Johnson, FA, 2nd round or day draft, give more for Shockey? I dont know, but i know that this draft is deep but not stacked in the front, and the Giants want a 1st round pick for Shockey ....... @#$% NO!!!!! Maybe if they give us their 1st and a happy ending we will give you our 1st.

Sorry if this has already been posted, but has Crumpler ever been officially on our radar?

Depends on what we get in FA first. If we get Gay and Briggs, then CB 1st, and TE in the 2nd.

Last I heard Crumpler had all but signed with Seattle. Re sign Billy Miller, forget Johnson unless he's willing to take vet minimum. And then sit back and wait for the Giants to call around April 24-25, which they will.........

I like him and think he would do well but i don't know if we approached him, i hope we will see what coach and loomis are gonna do about the rejection soon because Brees broved how leathal he can be with a TE when he had Gates

I second that. Get a TE in the draft if the trade scenario is too rich for us. No way should we give up #10 for him.

Billy Miller has made plays when we've needed them. Go back and watch the Eagles' playoff game.

Re-sign him, and if Shockey falls in your lap on draft day without giving up the farm, go for it. Otherwise we're still fine at the position.

Franchise TEs are nice to have but they don't win Championships. I don't remember the last TE to catch a TD in the SB-Novacek for Dallas in 1996? Look at the teams with the top TE's...Chargers, Chiefs, Cowboys...all fizzled in the playoffs. Shockey is expendable because the Giants made their playoff and SB march without him.

What happened to Mark Campble?

How about Brad Cottam in the 3rd? Monster with 4.6 speed and one of the better blocking TEs in the draft.

We'll end up with Cottam, though Keller would have been better, but Keller will be a 2nd round, and we can all agree 2nd round is too soon for us to pick a TE.
