Team can’t overcome bad coaching (1 Viewer)

Its on the players as well getting those holding penalties as well as others team can't overcome bad plays and drive killing penalties. Coaches are bad but players have fault as well. You get a great int. And no points. What was the players only meeting for.
totally disagree. at the end of the day... get the W. No one remembers the style points. The coaching staff left at least 3 points on the field with piss poor clock management to close the half. And then displayed even more stupidity in the second half burning a timeout on a potential 12 man penalty from less than a yard and goal to go, and then another wasted timeout because of pre-snap struggles, in a game that was clearly going to be decided in the final 2 minutes.

Wait... that reminds me. A run play to burn off 17 seconds just to settle into one of your last remaining clock stoppages at 2 minutes in the 4th when all you need is 3.

PI calls happen, and players make mistakes. But in a division game where a point made the difference, it's the garbage game management of the coaching staff that sunk the ship. DA and his whole clown show can pack their bags and go pick someone else's pocket.

Zero chance that was the play call that came in. It may have been checked to or option 3,4 or 5. But no chance that was the play call that came in as the number one option in the route tree.

I can’t believe anyone calling plays at any level would send that in. Derek had to think he saw something and just played hero ball like he’s known to do.

A team takes on the identity of their HC. Ours either has no identity or his identity is losing. Told y’all long time ago. This guy is utterly clueless. If you have the look of a deer in headlights than you are one, more often than not. I will literally celebrate the day that I open this forum and see 40+ alerts, with all of them saying “(he) has been fired…..merged”. I want our team back. I’m not even excited about draft position. I just want someone to believe in
Fans are not excited about the draft position because there is no trust by ML and Ireland to select the right player. Saints need to trade down to stockpile talent but only after making major changes in the FO by a legit talent evaluator.

The thing that was irritating to me is when Ireland was GM, he was keen on making good defensive selections. He was directly responsible for some studs on Dallas and Miami and what defensive player have the Saints drafted that are ‘wow’ type players since his arrival?

I really hope Gayle Benson starts seeing her money tree dry up some and actual business decisions start getting made rather than this blind loyalty, we treat everyone like family garbage.

I said this then the Seahawks did the same thing but completed it lol

We don’t know the dynamics going on with the offense. I wonder if Allen is starting to try to control the offense and is having too much input into the play selection. Something smells there.

But back to players and such. Yes, I know the team is beat up. But the play is sloppy and undisciplined. Look at the penalties. Look closely at the routes. The whole thing lacks structure, discipline and accountability. It’s not Payton’s smart team anymore. Say what you wanted Payton’s teams rarely got beat boy players doing stupid things. Maybe a headscratching play from Payton every so often, but the players played as well as they could and many times over their abilities. Allen is exactly the opposite and it’s only becoming more ingrained as time goes on. His HC in Oakland same way. Penalty prone and mistake filled. So while the players are making mistakes it goes back to coaching. Which goes to Allen as he sets the tone and structure.

I notice you didn’t include Kamara and Hill. Lol. Not surprised.

Our brain trust didn’t even have the only teo offensive threats available on the field.

lol at you.

Edited to add AK maybe was on the field. Still lol.
LOL MAYBE?? Of course he was on the field. He was the hot guy 3yds behind the LOPS and had 2 panthers waiting for him to get te ball

Want to talk bad coaching? Watch the last two minutes of the first half.

Terrible clock management by playing scared.
