What do you think? I know it's not exactly a new topic, but the purveyors of this industry (and it is an industry) keep reinventing themselves (the latest form being the Word-Faith movement, the newest name for the already unpopular Prosperity Gospel, the belief that God (Yahuah for those who understand Hebrew) rewards signs of faith with wealth, health and happiness).

From Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker and Oral Roberts in the 1980s to the current crop including Benny Hinn, Paula White, Joel Osteen, T.D. Jakes, Kenneth Copeland and others, the characters have changed but the script remains basically the same.

My take: The aforementioned people in this post and other members of their ilk are preaching a false doctrine and leading people who are desperate and looking for answers down a dangerous path. The Scriptures tell us who they are:

Matthew 7:15 -- Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

II Peter 2: 1-2 -- But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that brought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

Romans 16: 17-18 -- Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offenses contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

Matthew 15: 8-9 -- This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoreth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Televangelists need to sell all their posessions and give all the money they end up with to the poor. Then I will listen to what they have to say... not before.

Non-profit profit?

Which explains why there is always a "building fund" to contribute to. I would be interested to know how much all religions take in during a year

They are con men...and the people who give them money are morans.

We used to like to catch a good buzz, stay up late, and watch Robert Tilton speak in tongues. That was some pretty weird ****.

It would be a lot easier to believe in Yahweh if some of these guys would go up in flames once in a while.

In my book, Billy Graham is the only one worth his salt. The rest will probably burn.

I found all these guys under the same rock.

Why do we spend so much time and energy trying to analyze who's who? Ask God to give you discernment concerning this, that is if your motive is pure. Pray for them if you feel they are mislead and misleading others. Let God use His true Prophets and the Word of God to chasten them. How do we know who is true and who is not? By hearing the Word of God. Find a church to attend that preaches the unadulturated, pure, entire, unsugar-coated Word of God. It is our own individual responsibility to seek the face of God and obey His Word.

The Bible says:
Keep your mouth off of the preachers. For all we know they may or may not be true prophets.
Psalm 105:14 He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes; 15 Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

It is unfit to even bring unfounded accusations against Satan let alone your fellow man.
Jude 1:9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

Join your own church hear from your own Pastor.
2Chronicles 20:20 And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
