Ten 49ers free agents who could follow Klint Kubiak to the Saints (1 Viewer)

Maybe a backup OL or TE. I am more interested in possible RBs for the change in the running scheme. I think Kamara and Miller fit but I don’t see Williams as an ideal guy for the system.

I love the fact that our current offensive players have been put on notice. No more coasting and blaming other people. They better show up or get ready to be shipped out to another location. Yeah, I'm talking to you Juwan Johnson.

He probably isn't the right fit, but I think his contract makes it difficult to cut him this year so he likely makes the team unless they make some other moves to clear up cap space.

I have always liked Jennings. He would be a very good addition.
When he came out in the draft I wanted the Saints to draft him...more so than Callaway (I live in Tennessee.) At the time I said Jennings had good locker room leadership...and would go up and fight for catches. Perry reminds me a little of him...so we may already have a cheaper version of one of those guys on our roster.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see the list’s top 3,
LG Feliciano, WR Jauan Jennings and TE Woerner, all sign here. All 3 are bargain pickups while capable depth.

I think each could sign for 2.5M/1 year.
Possibly 7.5M total for 3 quality depth players who Kubiak’s familiar with.

I can see Kubiak vouching for Jennings the most as a good blocking WR with a lot of upside as a receiver. He filled in nicely when Deebo left the divisional round game vs the Packers.

These are the kind of signings that are sneaky-good when introducing a new concept to a team.

The best and most relatable example I can cite for Saints fans was the 2009 signing of Pierson Prioleau. Prioleau was never an all-pro but he’d been on several of Gregg Williams’ teams, following him from Buffalo to Washington to Jacksonville before signing with New Orleans. Removing his ego enough to be teacher-in-pads to some newly-appointed secondary coach and some other newly-signed safety led to the first Super Bowl title: for the team, for Williams, for the secondary coach, for the other free safety, and for Prioleau himself.

Since DA was that secondary coach who benefited from Prioleau being a player familiar with the new DC's system, you'd think now headcoach DA would be onboard with getting some players familiar with the new OC's system.
