My family and I evacuated to Galveston during Katrina.
We eventually drove from Galveston to Tampa (we had to drive all the way up to I-20, shoot over to Atlanta and then drive down I-75 to Tampa because I-10 in south Louisiana was shutdown)
We made that drive because money was running low and my sister-in-law has family who live there.
Tampa welcomed us with open arms.
We were treated really well there!
I will never forget that!

Oh my. My favorite team is very young and will now be spending multiple evenings in New Orleans, many for the first time in their lives.

The coaches' instructions for after-hours activity will very interesting.

But joking aside, much appreciation to your great city for the hospitality.
