I figured out last night that I am not going off the rails as early as I thought - I am using the Italian opening. And didn’t know it. I don’t know how to play it, it’s just a logical way to develop by my reasoning.

I am finding that if an opponent rated 200 points lower knows the ins and outs of a particular opening, they can kick my arse. The Scotch opening just destroyed me and the guy was rated 800.

There are some guys on there with wildly deflated ratings. I guess they are experts who like ambushing mediocre players.
