Rams basically played the same game the saints did except for the fact that once the rams Super Bowl window closed they reversed course .

They let all the vets go . Got rid of anything that would not help them win . Stocked up on draft picks

Stafford is for sale
Cupp is on the trading block .

They starting over .

But not the saints .

We about to embark on about 10 years of 4 to 7 wins a year for the next 10 years if they don’t change .

This is some miserable football

I can actually enjoy watching a young team with up and coming talent wirh a future and enjoy it .

Like the Lions 3 or 4 years ago

Very young team but you could see what’s coming in the near future .

They stocked up on that rams trade for stafford and built something .

The saints .
Not only do they suck . But they have no future .

The fact that the saints even attempted to get Devante Adam’s tells you all you need to know .

The mind set is all wrong .

Why can’t we just suck for 3 years and then get good like the lions instead of this path we on of winning 4 to 7 games a year for the next 10 years

I don't think Stafford and Cupp or going anywhere. With the way its looking, they can compete for the division.

We’re into year three already of sucking, so you want three more years of it. How quickly 3 becomes 6 and 6 becomes 9.

The Lions were horrible and got better through high draft picks. Trading Stafford only worked because the Rams misunderstood they never needed to trade Goff (i.e. Goff is a better asset to have in the 2024 season than Stafford. The NFL wanted the new stadium in LA to have a contender in it. This urgency led to a bad trade by the Rams that benefited the Lions) The Rams had cap illusions to fit Stafford, Aaron Donald, Cupp, OBJ, Ramsey, and Von Miller all on that team.

I cannot fault the Saints for what Ram or Michael Thomas did to this team's cap. Injuries happen but to the wrong contracts on your team and you get hosed. The major mistake I do put on Loomis is not starting with an entirely new coaching staff after Payton left. Keeping Carmichael and Allen was just mediocrity embodied. It has been a nostalgia tour ever since. I felt like this franchise has been playing pretend. To me the Brees induction into the Saints Hall of Fame was a dream is over for the Beatles kind of moment. It should be obvious but for some reason we keep it because our owner died. His wife who is a great owner for respecting her late husband's wishes and ensuring this team stays in New Orleans. But in that will is also waiting for her own death and keeping the franchise in Loomis' hands. So in these respects the Saints live with three ghosts (Benson, Brees, and Payton). Until we can transition and move on this franchise is in many ways dead.
