sounds about right to me (63), after my 23rd pick it was all downhill from there.....this was about the weirdest draft in a long time. i can't believe we only had 8 of us do it.....

SAINTSFAN .. you are the man congrats!! I am impressed 4 years in a row!! Very impressed!! I still cant believe the Rams passed on Dorsey..... and Brohm out of the 1st round after he was a projected top 5 pick last year!! OH well I will have to wait till next year!! Thanks for setting up and running the contest....

I'm not quite sure how the scoring works exactly b/c I can't match the numbers. What I am certain is that had my draft not been submitted at 9AM I would be the Champion. I drilled this draft. With the shortage of participants + the fact that draft morning had nothing to do with my outcome I should at least share the title. I donated $50 to play and I really won.

Congrats to all... I will say at 9am everyone knew Chris Long was the pick. Talib is a chucky type of guy, and unfortunetly I think he's a great fit for the tampa 2 and Kiffen. I had the saints trading with NE for Ellis but changed it at the last second because I thought the Shockey trade would go thru.

I don't think that news broke until later...I heard about it around 10-11...but maybe it was out earlier. If thats the case deduct 5 points and I still think I win. I had more picks correct in the first round to the correct team by 2 or 3 ahead of Saintsfan....this is tough to swallow.

Too bad the contest seems to have lost its luster as it has made some bucks for the site over the years. I didn't have enough time to follow any of the draft until Saturday when it was too late. PM me your address and I'll send your gift card within a couple of weeks. This is probably the last time I'm going to sponsor it because it's not worth it for 8 entries. If you can get at least 20 next year, I'll reconsider. You also might want to reconsider the format. I don't have any problem with it per se', but if you've won 4 years in a row under this one, it might be time to shake it up a little.

I agree that 8 entries is very disappointing (we had 20 last year), especially considering the dozens that were eligible and many who said they were going to enter. I am not sure it is any more or less of a "money maker" though. The format is the same that we have had since the beginning and the same for all participants (and I was not a part of putting together the rules or format from the beginning). I do not see where there is any advantage to anyone with the format. If you want, I would be willing to "retire" from the contest if you think it will enhance its luster. I was hoping the opposite, that many would take a shot at being the one to win after me winning three years in a row.

I didn't play for prizes but I think we should play next year even if there are none. It's all in good fun. There's nothing wrong with the rules (although I got last place!) Perhaps there should be a bigger bonus for predicting trades since 3 points isn't much. I'm shocked that only 8 people played but it's a fun game. I think part of the problem may be that people ignore stickies. Maybe there should have been a thread reminding people? Anyway congrats Saintsfan on winning again! Maybe next year I'll be more of a challenge- my picks just fell apart.
