The Old Lady still Looks Great (2 Viewers)

Built within walking distance of nearly 30,000 hotel rooms and 100+ restaurants.

New Orleans remains a destination city for a reason and placing the Superdome squarely in the middle of it all was genius.
The location is as critical to its longevity as any remodeling.

I remember when there was “talk” of building a new stadium across the river and i just thought how dumb that would be.

If the Superdome is structurally sound, maintained properly and upgraded when needed...it could last several more decades.
This applies to just about every stadium in the NFL right now (except maybe FedEx LOL) but they're going to build new ones in Nashville and Buffalo and Chicago is thinking about moving out to the suburbs.

Buffalo I can understand, but the Titans stadium opened in the late '90s and Soldier Field II is barely more than 20 years old. Taxpayers ought to be furious.

Here's an interesting article on what's going on around the league. It's nearly a year old, so some facts may have changed. It seems Baltimore, Jacksonville, and Carolina are considering significant renovations, too.

It’s gorgeous.
Plus, here’s a bit of history for you. It was built to deter space aliens from attacking the city, and consequently, New Orleans remains the only city in the U.S. to never get invaded by space creatures. It’s true, and you can tell everyone that Andrus, not Paul, told you about it. :hihi:
