dozens of dead mobsters, including family bosses....underground explosions...new drugs on the street
meanwhile, Bruce is doing donuts in the Batmobile in a Target parking lot
i am obviously nitpicking but nobody even mentioned his name that i can remember...it's just odd that the show almost completely ignored his existence
oh yeah, my wife didn't even know this was a 'Batman' show until i mentioned it around the 3rd episode
So, I'm through episode 5 and while it got better in episodes 3 to 5 and it's a good show, I don't think it's a great show. And it still doesn't feel like a "Batman show" or like it's really set in the world of Batman. It's just a mob story that takes lots of elements from The Sopranos. And the show is really saved by the actress playing Sophia Falcone. Her story and the Arkham stuff are the most interesting parts of the show. Which is odd for a show called "The Penguin".
I guess I like my comic book shows to have comic book characters in them and other than calling Ozwald Cobb "Penguin" this show doesn't really have that. It would also be nice if they could throw in a "superhero" or "super villain" here and there.
