The random stuff from X thread

This is very much a real thing. Very popular in the Scandinavian countries. A lot of the hobby horses are sewn in Poland.

I know all of this because my middle child and some of her friends are very much into this. It's both cute and a little weird at the same time. But, girls love horses. Even pretend ones. My daughter has at least eight horses, and my youngest has three.

Some of these girls are pretty good athletes. My daughter is about 5'2" and has hurdled 45" in our driveway.

National championships are in Michigan this year, if anyone is interested in attending.

My daughter rides equestrian and the girls that she babysits also ride equestrian. Every time my daughter watches them she comes back exhausted because this is what they make her do for 3-4 hours. They will set up a makeshift courses in the back yard (or inside if it is raining). I am glad to hear that these kids are getting some exercise.

Now having said that, I have seen an awful lot of videos of adults engaging in this activity. The troubling part is the unhealthy relationship that some of these people show for their "horses". I am not judging. If a baseball player can have a favorite bat I guess a 34 yr old can have a favorite stick-horse.

I have an oversized stuffed dragon that I use to pillage and conquer. Then we fly to the next village. Everyone has their thing.
