I would like that version of Peyton better than the 'awe shucks' Peyton. Either way, I don't dislike Peyton.

But about passion. I love passion during a game. And I know it was seconds after the game, but control yourself during an interview. I know it's hard, but we ask Athletes to do that every day. That's why they are the best of the best. it's more than just being able to play Football.

this is the problem...we (myself not included) expect these guys to act a certain way...expectations in other people will get you nowhere except disappoint

and really, it's not more than just being able to play football...you want it to be that way but it isn't

Denver in two of the most messed up of all time. At least they can legally smoke a bowl to recover.

Well, that game sucked.

I wonder how many teams will teach their DB's to ride the WR's all game?

Why not? If the refs aren't gonna call anything except the most blatant of PI, why would you not push the limits? As much as I hate to admit it, it is genius. Offensive lines hold on virtually every play, they do so knowing that only the most obvious stuff is going to get called because the refs will not throw a flag every play. Seattle took that concept and said "let's see what happens if we try it on defense."

I'm all for it.

So, what's the odds on Seattle getting NFL punishment in a couple years based on some report of massive PED / Drug abuse issues? Pete C can get his second Asterisk.

Regardless of what all else happened I'm pretty sure Goodell doesn't have the leeway to risk putting the league itself on trial again the way he did with the Bounty stuff. That came close to tipping really badly for the NFL.

The difference is the NFL actually has drug testing results to fall on. They know what the players had in their bodies that caused the failing test. So, depends.

And there goes a few Captains on defense.

Not a lot of shock there, but still.. wow.. all at once.

Greer probably won't be healthy until November. Vilma may very well retire, unless that knee is finally healthy. Will Smith and Harper will likely land gigs somewhere.
