the VG board football thread (1 Viewer)

I'm fine with a nice long preseason. This stuff needs to air out like an expensive wine. We know we're the best and we've been aging in the (proverbial) cellar. We're not going to hit our peak until January. Let's enjoy it.

You know he's talking about football, and not alcohol... Right?

Man I gotta get to bed, but I can not wait until tomorrow. Loomis is going to continue to flex his GM muscles.

Explain

In fact, allow me to elaborate. This preseason has been like a fast, hot fire to a pork butt. The outside is seared, and it looks beautiful, but we all know that if we eat it now, we are going to be chewing on raw pork fat (NTTAWWT).

It needs to sit on the smoker for some longtime and let that meat get tender while all that fat breaks down and blends in. We know we have a beautiful butt, but the more that we peek at it, the longer it will take. Let's just enjoy that sear and check our butt in January. Best pork ever.

What are we talking about?

Totally fired up about this Franklin signing.

Arguable as good as a signing as Sean Rogers--and that signing was $$$

Anyone thats taken pain meds for surgery, or I guess even for recreation will tell you that they can lock you up worse than a block of cheese.

You've heard the phrase 'go like a goose'? Yeah, well pain meds are the polar opposite of that. They are the 'run stuffer' of digestive tract if the di... you know what I mean.

Apparently, another side effect is double and/or blurred vision. I'm seeing two of everything unless I do this weird squint thing where I tilt my head forward and look out of the top of my eyes and that in and of itself is painful, so it's not an option.

spellcheck is going to be non-existent unless I absolutely know I hit the wrong key and I will not be gaming (VG, billiards, Pro-bowling and/or Pro-Darts) for cash anytime in the near future.

So... With all that rambled... Anyone else ever experience this double/blurriness? How long did it last?

I've quit the vicodins and have gone to a new-age hippy thing ...not really, but it is a newer med that is supposed to have far fewer side effects.

So... blurriness is permanent? 2 weeks? 4 days? 3 leap-years?

C'mon folks... Give me the straight dope! Bad choice of words... give the facts ma'am! just the facts

Double vision is permanent. Enjoy your coke bottle spectacles, 4 eyes.
