This game is not critical (3 Viewers)

Every late season game when you've already got the playoffs locked in is critical. I want this team firing on every cylinder. I don't want to see sloppy play at this point in the season and having that mindset follow us into the postseason. That would make for a very short trip in a playoff run.

We will not rest our starters next week! We still have a chance for that 1st round bye! Now if 49ers go up big at half then maybe we rest them in the second half but I'm not giving up hope for that 1st round bye yet!

Lost in all of this is the original intent. My point is if we happen to lose and therefore have a meltdown which often happens on this board, we know that by winning next week we still have the same spot, the # 3 seed.

Everyone relax. Just imagine if the players would get as worked up as some of you over this thread. They would be playing so tight it might get ugly.

Saints win this game:

- They Win the South
- Falcons Lose
- Keeping pace with the 49ers. Still chance that 49ers might lose on Sunday
- Brees does not break the record he and Brady can break it in the early game and hopefully Brees does it first.
-FALCONS LOSE
- Saints would have swept the Falcons this year
- FALCONS WILL LOSE!

As a Saints fan, how could you not understand that playing against the Falcons is always critical????

How did that work out for us last year. Jenkins, Ivory and Colston all hurt. It had a major impact on our playoff game last year. Learn from your mistakes. The 9ers are not losing to the Rams.

I'd like to win this one, thank you.

And btw, there is way too much capitalizing the word falcon in this thread. Plz stop the madness.

Dont see how this isnt critical. If we win, we have the division and at worst the 3 seed, and keeps the hopes alive for the 2 seed. Any given Sunday - the Rams beat us, you never know what might happen next weekend. That means we are home at least 1 game, if we were the 5 seed its highly likely we never see the dome in the playoffs.

If we win then we pretty much rest the starters next week. If we lose than next week's game is critical.

That simply makes zero sense. If we lose tonight, then next week's game is a MUST WIN. If we win tonight, next week's game is no longer "critical."

A win tonight secures the division, and guarantees us at least the number 3 seed. A loss tonight means we could possibly not win the division, and end up fighting for a wild card.

It's the dirty birds - of course this game is critical! An Atlanta game is always critical! Give no quarter, take no prisoner!

Is this thread for real? NOT go all out vs. ATL? Man, if we win only two games a season this better be one of them. I hope we go "New England '09" on their butts.
