This is turning into an absolutely great Saints draft...

1 - Bryan Bresee - DT - He is athletic, very smart, has long arms and great size and size potential, a quick 1st step, is naturally strong and powerful, and has a high upside.

2 - Isaiah Foskey - DE - He is athletic, very smart, has great size and length, has a great 1st step, is already a good pass rusher, and high upside.

3 - Kendre Miller - RB - He has awesome balance and lower body strength, is very smart, has good vision, has quick feet, and has a high upside.

4 - Nick Saldiveri - G - He is smart, athletic, has great length and feet to play T or G, has ideal size and size potential, can play anywhere on the line, and has a high upside.

4 - Jake Haener - QB - He is very smart, has a quick release, is accurate, is athletic with great pocket awareness, has good to very good arm strength, and he has a high upside.

5 - Jordan Howden - DB - He is very smart, fast, athletic, has ideal size, and has a ton of experience at both safety and corner. He has 49 career starts in the Big 10.

6 - A.T. Perry - WR - At 6'4 and 200lbs, he was generally predicted to be a 2nd or 3rd round pick that we get in the 6th. He is fast, smart, athletic, and has a high upside. His drops dropped him down most boards. Pardon the pun. He is literally a steal.

This is impressive.

While I also like our class you're looking at this through some serious black and gold glasses.

You used the word "smart" six times and "very smart" five...

That I think, is the point.

Top 4 picks Bresee, Foskey, Miller and Saldiveri can all become starters this season and next. Most of the 6 picks were very productive in college. On paper, it can become one of our greatest draft classes after the 2017 class.
It'll likely end after 2017 and 1981. It could tie or be better than 2006.

This has been a pretty good draft. Love the 1st four picks. Haener should provide the team with a backup QB at least for a good number of years. Despite initial shock, Howden makes sense as a potential contributor, though we could have gone other directions. If we can get a sneaky contributor in the 7th and a couple decent guys in PFA, this will have been a home run on paper.
