The Excellence of Execution

6 Straight losses and 4 in a row where the team has looked absolutely outmatched and have given up on themselves.
This is what poor leadership from the front office and the coaching staff looks like.
I don’t think anyone expected us to go undefeated and especially with our injuries it would be expected to lose some games. But it’s not the losses, it’s HOW we have lost games.
The Payton homecoming on Brees night had to be one of the most disgusting displays of preparation and energy I’ve ever seen the team have since I’ve been a fan. Injuries a side it paints a picture of just how good Payton was, no matter the injuries, we would have been UP for that game and playing way harder than the limp effort we got from Dennis Allen.
Teams almost always take on the personality of their coach. The minute we hit adversity this year, our old scared turtle coach came back and when the team saw that a collapse was inevitable.
This team looks and plays like a rudderless ship, and of course why wouldn’t they when we look at the staff we have and the front office just completely blind in their arrogance that we don’t need change.
Good leaders and good coaches produce competitive effort no matter a win or a loss. What I’ve seen is lacklustre effort, poor play calling, bad penalties from lack of focus or accountability, lackadaisical game management and above all, zero energy from the sidelines.
It’s no wonder that this team has been on a 6 game skid with what looks like a lost locker room and players needing players only meetings.
Sadly there will be no coming back for this with the current attitude and arrogance of all the staff involved.
What a shame and a waste of the last great years of some of our veterans.
