they asked Marcellus Wiley who they thought would challenge Green Bay in the NFC. They were giving all the love to SF, Chicago, and even mentioned the Cowturds. Not one time did they even mention the Saints.
I'm not one to play the no-respect card, because I really don't care, but you cannot argue that there isn't a level of inequality when it comes to the 7-3 Saints, and other contenders:
Baltimore has lost to Jacksonville, Tennessee, and Seattle, but they are still contenders and favorites in their division. I watched them play Seattle, and the Seahawks handled them much like the Rams handled the Saints. The Ravens have a mediocre QB, an off-on running game, and a defense that is still good, but old. Yet.....
The Eagles are 3-6. 3 and freaking 6. They've lost every tie breaker possible, and need to pull off 7 straight to have a shot. They lost 4 straight at one point, their defense sucks, they constantly blow 4th quarter leads, and I don't know what the hell Andy Reid is thinking most of the time. Yet, they are "in trouble". Let us trade places with Eagles, and we'd be done, and they'd be a shoe-in at 7-3. Convince me otherwise.
Let Atlanta get to 6-4, and it will be "New Orleans better watch out because they're hot". They've been the model of inconsistency all season.
Dallas got rocked by a bad Philly team, win 2 straight against Seattle and Buffalo, and "they're back. This is the Dallas team we know they can be!"
Yes, I listen to sports radio, I watch NFLN and ESPN, and I see what other Saints fans do regarding us, but it doesn't bother me. What does bother me is that in every damned thread, someone has to slip in our loss to the Rams this year, or the Seahawks, Browns, Cardinals - from 2010. MOD EDIT
The media lose cred because they are stupid and don't know much about football, not because we make them look bad. I mean, they are in the entertainment business. The saints never get respect plus ....Loose to an 0-6 team and you go to the back of the pack for a few weeks. This team has to prove its consistent. We lost a lot of cred last year against the Seahawks when all the media looked stupid for getting on our bandwagon. The good news is this isn't the NCAA do it doesent matter what espn thinks.
Most analyst's even give more love to Atlanta than us. You can actually hear people upset that we won the game last Sunday. Most people on TV were picking them to win the division this year. Let the media hate and let us fly under the radar, because that's what will push our team to the superbowl again. We love feeding off of negativity for motivation.
Maybe not even that. If Colston doesn't fumble, Saints possibly win, and that's not even considering a better outcome on the failed 4th and 1 in the first half that resulted in 0 points.
