Does anyone else get the feeling this offseason will be like the one where jimmy graham was traded? I felt saints were in a similar situation and had to get rid of some contracts and bam jimmy was traded out of nowhere. What surprise moves do you see saints Doing ( with the exception of burrow will keep that discussion on swimmer’s board ) . Sound off would like to hear what you think. Happy super bowl day or not cause saints aren’t in it?. Go chiefs!

I think the team is in a ‘wait and see’ until drew makes his decision
If I’m guessing ML/SP are operating as if he’s coming back and will tinker at the edges - so no major movement

But if drew retires then they have some contingencies set up to get draft capital and build for the future

The roster will change more then we want in the next couple of years.

Our young players reaching a second contract have earned over value salaries since there will be a for them.

We simply we don’t have the money to afford all of them.

I also don’t expect bringing big name free agents, maybe 3-4 solid players that will come in what we may consider bargain salaries. A collection of complementary role players.

Obviously, I think we have learn that is not a good idea to mortgage the future in one player thinking is the missing link to reach the super bowl.

I have to be honest, I’ve got the suspicion this will be a big offseason. There is a lot of smoke right now. Sean building up Taysom when he is going into Restricted Free Agency, lots of big contracts coming up.

Cam has been putting a lot of cryptic tweets out lately. I think we should all prepare ourselves for a big move with a player we love.

I’m not saying anything crazy will happen, but Sean and Loomis have shown they aren’t afraid to make the big moves if they think they are necessary.

Not saying it is anything, he’s had just as many pro-saints tweets. Just thinking about our biggest chess pieces and who we would/could move based on biggest contracts. Kamara and Jordan fit that description.
Kamara has been extremely vocal about wanting to remain a Saint lately. Just hard to gauge, but definitely feels like something is going on behind the scenes right now.

Which is why you take the 1 or 2 players that you decide you can’t fit into the payroll and flip them for new players coming into the league. Maybe or maybe not Burrow, but it isn’t really mortgaging the future when the only alternative is to let them leave for nothing.

Kinda saints news ... I know saints don’t want to offer Brees this amount ..this kinda gives the Brees camp leverage now. Be interesting to see how this plays out
