When you look at the league rankings, the Titans don't look all that dominant on defense, varying between 9th, 10th, 13th, whatever, in various defensive categories on ESPN and PFR.

But look at the offenses they've played in nine games (league rank in parenthesis):

Arizona (1)
Los Angeles (3)
Indy (4)
Indy (4 -- played them 2x already)
Kansas City (7)
Buffalo (11)
Seattle (16 -- but they played them when Russ Wilson played the whole game, and that ranking is skewed low because he's been gone over a month)

That's seven of their nine games.

They also played the Jets (and somehow lost) and Jaguars, to be fair, and those are two terrible offenses but the last four games were wins over Buffalo (h), KC (h), Indy (a) and Rams (a) -- looks like they are locked in.

I know it's any given Sunday and all that, but we're missing the left side of our OL, Kamara and Winston, and Trautman is still healthy.

If we can pull this game off it will be awesome but as Damon Runyon said, the race may not always be to the swift nor the battle to the strong, but that's the way to bet.

Titans have a good defense but they’re not exactly a shining pillar of health either. Their injury list is longer than the Ndamukong Suh thread and they’ll be without their best LB at the very least. They may also be missing Julio on offense along with Mabin on defense. A lot will have to go right but this is a very winnable game.

Their run defense is not exactly stellar. The Saints will run with success… play good defense… stay ahead of the chains, and pass effectively when needed.

Saints 31
Titans 16

Their best CB, Kristian Fulton looks like he is coming back this week.

It’s not their CBs… it’s their front 4.

If the Saints can run the ball… and stay ahead of the chains… they will have opportunities to pass successfully.

Run Ingram like we did in Buffalo
I could honestly see a world where we just run nonstop. Throck and Hurst are decent rum blockers, but not nearly as athletic as TA and Peat would be out in space for screens, etc.

Plus…our WRs…yeah.

And Tennessee is okay vs the run, but ridiculous against the pass. Both rushing the passer and in coverage.

I’m expecting a lot of Ingram and Taysom.

Problem is defenses are sold out now to stop the run. There isn't one QB, WR or TE that is going to command any attention or respect. You saw this in the Atlanta game, we initially were pounding them, then they brought everyone to line and said screw it we will take our chances. Will be plenty stacked boxes here on out throughout the remainder of the season
