N/S TNF: Bills vs Dolphins (4 Viewers)

Did Tua get paid?

At 3 concussions the argument can be made they shouldn't be allowed back in the league.
Based on what? Why not 2 concussion? Or 4 concussions? What is the evidenced based practice to make that recommendation?

At least my team didn’t overpay for an average quarterback 🙂

Armstead is injured again. I don't believe he has ever had a season when he never missed time. The guy is unfortunately one the most
injury prone players in the league.

Bills took their foot off the accelerator?

Is Tua basically done? At some point somebody has to just step in and say it's over for him. Terron out in game 2 is expected. Hopefully they can both come back and play this year, but man.... what are the odds they both play 15 more games each, 1/10,000?

There isn’t a set number in the NFL. Setting a cap is actually detrimental and encourages players to hide concussions. But at some point common sense must prevail. It’s not a matter of if Tua gets another concussion…it’s when?

3 is just a number I threw out there, and that is still a lot of concussions. The data so far says once you have a concussion your chances of having another one increase and it just continues to get worse and worse. At some point these players have to be protected from themselves, not all of them willing to on their own, or possibly have enough brains left, to do what guys like Kuechly did.

That would not have prevented a concussion with that hit in my opinion.

Being an elite athlete he most likely will not retire. Hopefully he does not pay the price in 10-20 years. We were all young once and thought we were invincible.

I agree that the guardian cap wouldn’t have mattered in this case. In my opinion it really makes the most sense for lineman because they’re repeatedly banging heads and I can see the case for RBs using it as well. Tua made a bad decision diving the way he did, if you’re gonna go head first you don’t want your head to be able to snap back like that. That’s what caused it, and there’s no way to pad the inside of someone’s skull. Hamlin basically just caught him. This wasn’t Ronnie Lott coming in for the kill here. Tua himself is obviously prone to concussions.
