Forbath was a good kicker, but a bad kickoff guy. I believe that was why he was released. Bullock really struggled in Houston this season. I'm not too interested in bringing him in I don't think.

I don't think Brandon Fields kicks off. Forbath is a good kicker, but not good kicking off. Not sure this is anything serious. If we wanted to make a change, that went out the window when Hopkins and Novak signed elsewhere.

I was thinking maybe they were looking for a "kick off specialist", but that seems to not be in the plans. If the snap, hold, and kick are a big problem like Payton seems to think, and our STs have always been a problem, and we keep making changes to the personnel, what is left to change? It seems pretty obvious to me.

my guess is he brings in kickers for the pressure, bc it's the closest a practice can come to game pressure situations

It is beyond time to change our special teams coach. We have fixed some coverage issues from years past. But we have always been very shaky in field goals and returns.

They aren't being brought in to try out for the job immediately. It is only in case Hocker has another pivotal short miss. Then we will be prepared to make a change if it is needed.
