Mr Lasorda was a transcendent figure in sports history.

RIP Mr Lasorda!

My Lasorda story... he was making an appearance at Zephyr Field roughly 10-15 years ago to sign autographs prior to a Zephyrs game. I guess it was near the end of his scheduled signing time, when right before it was my turn to get an autograph, he yelled out angrily to one of the assistants, "The line is getting longer!!" I put down my ball, got my signature, and told him "Thank you, sir." He gave me a weird look in response, like I said it in sarcasm. But he's truly a legend of the game.

I love his interviews. He told you exactly what was on his mind and did not hold back. An icon for sure. RIP, Tommy.

I didn’t know he was still alive. Awesome sports figure
Same because I thought he had been sick awhile ago and had died then. Now I see I've probably been confused that he was hospitalized and in ICU back in November and I forgot reading about it. I was thinking it was longer ago than that.

They've been mum on any specifics. I wonder how aware he was the Dodgers won the Series this year.
