This is (or would be, if true) Jerry Jones level of meddling.

I don't have an issue with hiring Glenn. Not my first choice, but I don't think it would be a terrible hire. But, if they hire him because or with the requirement that he keep certain coaches that would be a dumb move.

That being said what is Sportskeeda.com and who is Tony Pauline?

Nothing changes if nothing changes. This is the running it back scenario. Only upside I see to this is it is the way to keep Kubiak as OC. But it also means those older players and bad contracts aren't going to be cleaned up and it will be mostly the same roster next season. I'd love to start new but it sounds like Loomis isn't going to let that happen.

One thing to be open to keeping coaches (versus just firing everyone), another to be forced to keep certain coaches whether the head coach believes it is best for the team or not. I would like to believe it is the former instead of the latter.

LOL.

"would be open to keeping the coaches Loomis wants retained..."

I don't know who is reporting this, but if true.. the cringe continues. Head coaches are allowed full autonomy in selecting their staff.
This x 1000. If this is true we are in a lot worse shape than I’ve ever imagined.

I think even getting involved or having input on staff selection is kind of out of pocket for a GM. Like why on earth would Loomis have motive to want to keep any of these guys on our staff?

The process should be, we hire a head coach who we believe in, and we let him select his staff. It's unheard of for a GM to say "it'd be really nice if you kept these guys on" kinda thing.
