Great to get the win, but there is lot to improve and clean up at every position on the team.

We need to do more dink and dunk to keep the D honest. The west coast offense is an extension of the run. People got mad at Brees because he didn’t throw deep but they know Winston is a long ball thrower and bring the house.

Problem is, Winston isn’t the sink and dunk type.

Three-four days ago Ruiz was the second coming on this board. Rewind the tape. I was not privy to the giddiness in "locking him up" for years to come.

Ruiz and Hurst got beat by Grady. They had some well designed blitzes but by the fourth quarter our HBs were clearing their sinuses. The offense adjusted well. Hopefully we can start better going forward.

Ruiz remains my biggest concern. I know Hurst isn't great, but Ruiz remains the weakest link. And Ruiz doesn't just lose in pass pro, he loses in spectacular fashion. If he doesn't lock onto his man, his opponent just blows right by him like he's not even there. That's what almost got Brees killed two years ago, and he whiffed like that again yesterday. At least Hurst puts up a fight.

1,000,000x better than a Ruiz in the 1st. God that's why I hate taking linemen early because when it doesn't work out it's like hitting a bunt off your foot. Called out without even trying to take a chance.
