HM:
HM: Who would you compare yourself to in the NFL?
SS: Nnamdi Asomugha from the Raiders. He’s a tall corner like myself. He dominated this year. QBs are afraid to throw the ball his way. Between him and the play-making ability of (Antonio) Cromartie with his instincts when the ball is in the air.., I think I’m a combination of those two.

im a big fan of sean smith..i just think he would be a better fit at fs

I need to see more tape of him before i declare that he's worth #14 or even on the same level as malcolm jenkins.

right now i am intrigued by the kid but i like william moore and malcolm jenkins alot more to fit into the super-secondaries that GW likes to build.

if we could possibly maneuver back into the second round by trading Robert meachem and a 5th i'd love to grab him at pick 35-45 if he's still there.

we're not trading robert meachem

just an idea boss.

couldn't hurt to sacrifice his potential on offense (which is a luxury) for an impact second-rounder on defense which is more of a necessity right now for a team ranked #1 in offense 2 of the past 3 years pretty much without him.

Patty Ice explains in reason #8 that the Saints trade down first then grab him.

I like that idea of getting extra pick(s) and still getting a young player at a need position for the Saints (at this time).

I said it before and i'll say it again... I really believe G-Wil is gonna get Smith at 14 and not even waste time moving him to FS.. He's just what the Saints need.. a tall long safety with speed that can help out either corner in a pinch while Roman roams closer to the LOS in run support.. that my friends is the cover-1 and that is a G-Wil "D".. mark it, Smith @ 14!

i like meach, so no offense ok?

but i'd still trade him even if we already trade down once in the 1st already. we need help baaaaaaaaaaaaad on D if we are going to make a superbowl run.

just think how much it would help if we could add another tracy porter type impact player at a position of need on D.

meach to the colts!!!!!! just kidding. i like the peagues (sp?) kid from ull

i'm really liking pegues as a cover-2 corner and after the combine i think that most personell scouts would agree now. at 5-10 199 clocked in the 4.5-4.6 range with good hands and good agility he would be a nice addition if we moved UY to safety or released JD.

Right now you'd be lucky to snag a 6th for meach much less a 2nd and a 5th. Seriously what has he done to warrant a 2nd AND a 5th?? teams don't trade high round picks for a 3rd year player based on his potential.

i read it as trading Meachem and our 5th to get back into the 2nd...not trading Meachem for a 2nd and a 5th.
