According to webster on here, Book is the #1 and Jameis is his veteran backup. I'd love to know exactly what he's on and how much it costs him.So Book is now the #2?

Hard to step up when your line is decimated.Maybe not, but Drew knows how to step up in the pocket.
agreedOur fans were harder on Siemian than he deserved. He played with the worst roster of the season and still managed 8 TDs and 924 passing yards in his 4 starts. Plus he was rock solid coming off the bench for two different starters and winning both of those games. He's everything you want in a backup QB. Hopefully Chicago will show him more respect.
Coming off the bench, he was fantastic. He's a good backup and I worry about our situation now. Bortles and Book? Our fans were harder on Siemian than he deserved. That doesn't change the fact that Siemian was an ineffective starting QB for the Saints. The perfect comparison is the final game--same offensive players except for QB in each half. Look who did better. And yet Taysom is no Jameis.Every game Trevor started Kamara was out with an injury
Because of Michael Thomas being out for the season, the biggest difference in the Saints win/loss record was if Alvin was playing or not.
With Alvin: 9-4
Without Alvin: 0-4
The 4th game without Alvin Taysom started and lost.
I'm not saying Simian is a good QB, but his starts in New Orleans put him in the absolute worst situation possible ... an offense with multiple injured offensive linemen and back-of-roster skill position players.
I guess Bortles has been rocking it...Thank God.
