in the first half went a long way towards keeping us on top throughout the game. Both started at our seven yard line, and both ended with the Falcons having to settle for field goals.

Defense deserves big props for this. It had to be disheartening for the Falcons to have made it inside the 10--twice--and come away with only 6 points total for their efforts.

True, Vick put up a lot of rushing yards, but the D didn't quit.

You got that right. The D deserves a lot of credit in this one. They bent a couple of times, but the never broke. Also, tell me one team that Vick doesn't run all over. He tends to get his big runs when he sends his receivers deep, and the secondary drops back, and leaves a gaping hole in the middle of the field. It's a design play that the Saints were finally able go get a handle on in the latter part of the game. Give the defense a lot of credit on this great win.

actually, there was a 3rd goal line stand too..but due to the lateness in the game, the falcons chose to go for it on 4th down (and scored the td)

True dat. Our defense is a lot more solid than most thought it would be, and much of that is attitude. They don't get discouraged.
