I thought Montgomery had season ending shoulder surgery a few weeks ago.


I could be wrong about that but it seems like I remember reading that somewhere.

He was apparently a healthy inactive this week. I say apparently because it didn't show an injury next to his name.

Dont know much about how recovered Montgomery is from his injury or his grasp on the offense. But i much rather see him targeted than Juwan Johnson, he just doesnt have it.

Puzzling. They spoke highly about him in camp and he's a vet so you would think his camp play would translate. Especially with how short handed we are. He's either not very healthy, doesn't know the playbook still, or just isn't any good. He never got cut so I can't see it being his play.

Read his story the other day and wow, his passing was a very odd story/situation.

If Montgomery has not had an impact on this offense by now, it won't be anytime soon.

This may very well not have one thing to do with Montgomery........ But let's not forget that Khiry Robinson did next to nothing until the 2013 playoffs started.......and if we assume the story is true, that may not have happened if Parcells hadn't called up Payton and told him that he had "Curtis Martin" on his roster and wasn't giving him the ball enough.

Assuming TQS is OUT for the Vikings game, then the Saints really need to work Taysom Hill as much as possible at WR during the short week of practice...

W/Winston out on Covid Res, Hill is the only backup QB. I think that Siemian was signed off of our PS.
Likely won't see as much "regular" Hill plays, much less increased snaps @ WR. Slim margin of error @ WR.

If anything, this is the time to work Montgomery in at WR. Hill is our backup QB at this point.
