I'm not really sure why everyone is so high on Sanders. I hope he's either taken earlier than 9, or that the front office is smart enough to not select him.

Exactly what I’ve been saying. A poor man’s Winston. He’ll get a shot as a starter and end up a career backup. The guy just isn’t good.He thinks he is fast but isn’t. He can’t outrun DL…pretty much Winston, but worst pocket presence and weaker arm. If his last name wasn’t Sanders he’d be a second round prospect.
I want someone else to want to pick him at 9.
If I’m completely honest, it’s not Carr that I can’t stand, it’s his contract. He will be booed for every incompletion, pick, sack, etc. I don’t blame him for doing what’s right for his family, but unless he balls out like he did in weeks 1 and 2, he is doomed to fail here. The majority of the fan base hates him, right or wrong. He is not a bum everybody else just not doing there jobs his whole career he’s had to carry a bunch of nobodies Tom Brady couldn’t win with this squad
Funny!!!or that the front office is smart enough to not select him.
The issue when drafting QBs, you want them to be as pro-ready as possible. If they have too many bad habits to clean up, then they aren’t pro-ready. I like Shadeur he’s got great talent, but also has bad habits. He runs backwards to avoid sacks, that’s a NO NO in the NFL. Ask Haener if it works. Shadeur lacks pocket presence as evidenced by the amount of sacks he takes. And it’s proven statistically, that if you take a lot of sacks in College, you also take them in the NFL. Do we really want to see our QB running backwards taking sacks? The NFL is lightning fast. College is not. I’ll say this as a disclaimer, if we drafted him at 9, I’d be stoked, because they would tell me that KM thinks high of him and his bad habits will be dealt with.At #9 Sanders is a steal.
IF, big if, Sanders learns a 3 yard completion is better than waiting for a big play to open up, he's better than half the QBs in the NFL, that includes Carr.
And 9 that's too good to pass on.
But he'll be picked in the top 5
I agree with you except on the career backup thing. He’s not pro ready now. But in three years he’ll be a solid starter.Exactly what I’ve been saying. A poor man’s Winston. He’ll get a shot as a starter and end up a career backup. The guy just isn’t good.
Make no mistake, Travis Hunter was carrying that team through and through, including Sanders.
If Sanders could go back to Colorado this year without Hunter, we would all see plain as day just how “not good” he is. His flaws would become much more obvious. But we’ll have to see em in the NFL and some team is basically gonna get scammed if they take him on Day 1 or even Day 2. Only Ward, Dart and McCord should go in the first two rounds. Maybe Dillion Gabriel as well. The rest are day 3 picks.
Tyler Shough is the best Qb in this class (1b) a slight notch under Ward. Only because Ward has some elite traits, arm talent, mobility. However, Slough has the elite qb size at 6’5 and he can make all of the throws and has better pocket awareness than Shadeur. Just watch the guy.
Having a cannon for an arm is not the end all be all. There have been many QBs that have carved out good NFL careers, without a live arm. Yes, that may come into play, when being evaluated now. Although, I’ll say this, the dude is pretty darn accurate, and he has amazing touch on the football. Two things that our very own Drew excelled at. Plus, he has great anticipation, fearless in the pocket, confidence, and has the ability to make big time plays. Not sure why so many would pass over those intangibles bc those are the things you can not teach (fearless pocket presence/confidence/and big play ability). The dude is gifted. I can’t imagine how much more he would’ve produced if he had a good Oline. His Oline was not good, even with the additions from the transfer portalAdmittedly, I didn’t see any games he’s ever played in.
So I watched what has been posted and highlights.
Even in the highlights, I see a very average arm at best. And that’s in college and not even against SEC competition.
I can’t see how that translates into the NFL game.
Rattler has twice the arm.
That’s cool bc Drew was a 2nd rd pick as wellHe thinks he is fast but isn’t. He can’t outrun DL…pretty much Winston, but worst pocket presence and weaker arm. If his last name wasn’t Sanders he’d be a second round prospect.
Best answer. Unless Jeanty or Tet is there drop back a couple spots and pick an Edge.I want someone else to want to pick him at 9.
Exactly. He’s an average athlete with no pocket presence or arm but has qb intelligence. Not unfair to say a lot of people got Lamar Jackson wrong, but the other side of that is that Jackson was a legit physical freak with generational talent as a runner.
Shadeur Sanders is nowhere close.
