Well, that was an odd game. I have no earthly idea how that wasnt 8-0. It almost looked like we needed to be reminded the ball should go between the posts.

That felt like old school USMNT though. Just keep going. Take the 3-0 and move on.

75.4% possession with 10 corners...and honestly I thought that was kind of low compared to how it looked in real time. Trinidad stayed all hands behind the ball even when playing with 11. I expected possession to be in the 80s at least.

Back end of the home and away vs T&T tonight at 6.

We got to see Pepi and Balogun play together in game 1 once the game got a bit sloppy, tonight we get to see them with a game plan start together due to some injuries. Balo should be on the ball more, and Pepi more the 9. With Trinidad needing goals this game should open up pretty quick.

Could open the door to a 2 striker system against certain opponents. We got Berhalter to try something besides an 4-3-3 to a 4-2-3-1 and it was effective. Adding an 4-2-2-2 or 4-1-3-2 to the arsenal can only give us more options.

Only reservation I have is Pepi being an absolute dagger off the bench.

So long as Gio is central...his presence there causes opponents some problems in defending.

I applauded the look last week and it was unfortunate Tillman wasn't on his game. But the formation worked well.
