USMNT - ‘23 and beyond (6 Viewers)

Lil sloppy in 2nd but hard to come out and match the 1st half performance. That 1st was about as perfect a half as you will ever see.

Unlucky on Jamaica 2nd goal, great reach save only to have Jedi try n clear unfortunately into Gray's leg and ricochet in.

I will say Turner looks way more confident in goal. Seeing and reading the game better. Still gives me pause on the ball tho lol.

Overall great result and I'm excited (again)
If team keeps the ball in midfield, Turner will be fine
🤞🏽

Finally appears they have a leader that plays to the team's strengths.....the Mids and wingers/forwards......no more slow play out of the back, get the ball to the mids and let them work....

Pepi should have been starting a while ago, Berhalter was awful....didn't know who the players were.....no clue....

Is it playing to strengths or adapting to the situation? Like I’m not sure Jedi as a kid is a consistent strength but it certainly worked yesterday
And I doubt that’s CP’s forever position
And I have to say I’m less sold on Pepi than where I started - I still think he’s mostly poaching (and does it well), but I still think he can create more opportunities for himself (I still think he’s better as a super sub in a fully fit usmnt)

That might have been the best I’ve seen from tessmann
And aside from one bad giveaway (which he corrected in defense) Wes had one heckuva match

Maybe a bit of both, but to me it's simply getting the best players on the pitch and playing to their strengths.....I'm totally sold on Pepi, I think it's important to remember he is only 21.....

His form continues. This was massive. He is finding his goal scoring boots and turning into a real threat.

If Berhalter were still here he wouldn't get the minutes.....man, thank god we have a coach who at least knows who the players are....

Some are calling Jedi one of the best in the league

i watched the entire Fulham match last weekend.

He was in "shutdown" mode for 89 min.

Then switched off for 1 second, Saka gets in behind and goal.

Luckily Martinelli was deemed to be off ( he was crosser of ball to Saka )

But yeah, he has been a beast of a Left Back this year in the EPL. Love to see it. Would REALLY love to see Dest start getting some play ( he just returned to PSV training 8 mo post knee injury )

Good to see all these US players showcasing talents across Europe. Just gotta keep it going. Dont need them peaking in 2025 lol

but what if they peak in 25 and then peak even more in '26 (and then peak the most in '30)?

would be nice, but sustaining that for a full year, much less 5, is tall task. Would love to see it, but would need to see it to believe it.
