Those teams I originally mentioned are scrapping for wins as well. Is anyone actually watching other games other than ours? There is so much bad football being played around the NFL

You still need talent to win in this league. We’ll win some game but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. We scraped by against our division rival at home. This is still a talent deficient roster that will likely lose more than it wins moving forward. Right now we have the #9 overall pick in the draft. Can I say with much confidence that we are much better than the #1 overall Jaguars? No. I say that as both a Saints and Jags fan (heck of a year to be an NFL fan). In reality, I think that the Jags are held back by coaching even more than the Saints. The Saints have crippling injuries which is harder to fix by making a quick change.

I completely agree. This draft doesn’t have a blue chip QB. There is no tank for ____. Carr will probably be a better QB over the next 3 years than any of this years rookies. We need to find a way to win. Perhaps we’re good enough to entice a better head coach candidate such as Ben Johnson. The Saints have been so brutal it’s hard to even evaluate the players. If we’re at least competitive you can get an assessment of the players you can build around. Because a week ago, I was content with getting rid of 95+% of the team.

So true and the overall quality of the product continues to decline year over year.

The Browns are pretty borderline. I think that we are likely better than the Raiders but they have a game wrecking defensive player that levels the playing field a bit. The Giants are awful. They’ll be drafting in the top 3.

Well put, I think this is a good opportunity to evaluate a number of players at multiple positions.....who really wants to be here and start.....I'm going to enjoy the rest of the season if the team continues to play hard....
