As rough as o line has been why don’t we trade for a better guard or tackle since Penning isn’t the answer and Hurst and Peat are weathered bandaids.

I agree, but he just isn’t as good as what they traded. Ezra is one of the better young guards in the entire NFL

The “bad news” :

Still LOTSA work to do n areas in need of improvement, tho! IMO, for 3 straight games, our “Top 5” defense has been SLEEP da entire first half!

Prior to the Indy game, the O left waay to many points out on the field ( esp in da Red Zone) against HOU n JAX. They had a much better outing against the Colts, but STILL left a couple of potential scoring plays out there!

The “good news”

It ain’t been pretty, but we’re 4-4, n tied for 1st, so my 10-7, NFCSC is still doable. But moving forward, this team is in NO position to take ANY game, team, or opposing starter at QB lightly or for granted!!!!

To have ANY playoff aspirations, this team MUST start a long string of consecutive wins, beginning Sunday vs CHI!

He wasn’t a stud but he was good immediately. Penning is two years in and doesn’t look like a starter. Maybe he improves. But he and Evans definitely followed different trajectories
