Will he be back? I don’t recall an announcement but I can’t help but wonder.

I’m hoping his lack of production this year could be chalked up to injury and he returns and has a solid season next year. If he is not injured and this is just who he is now he should consider hanging it up.

Father time! Cam is one of the most consistent and reliable players we've ever had, but his best days are behind him.

If he wants to remain a DE on passing downs, it may be time for him to shed some weight to get quicker. If not, he will be a run down guy only or a smaller DT for passing downs.

He actually said last week that he had a high and low ankle sprain plus something torn in his shin....

I just hope he isn't risking his health, he is getting into rare air for someone in his position

Not sure if injuries played any role, or Father Time is catching up to him.

Nevertheless, Cam is still a force, an amazing leader/teacher, and well worth whatever we’re paying him.
I get the general sentiment except for the paying part.

No. But either Cam needs to move inside as the DT at 6’4 290-296 he can handle this role. He’s currently listed at 286

Or

Tell him to lose 12-15 pounds to play DE.

He was definitely playing with a bad ankle/leg that really limited his ability to pass rush in the second half of the season. But, he still plays the run well and I think if he is in a rotation he can still be effective as a pass rusher once he heals. They have also used him inside in the pass rush package and they may do that more next year.

He's clearly never going to be the player he was a few years ago. But, it's not like we have a lot of DE talent being held back behind him.
