We have Ron Torbert's referee crew for the Jets. (1 Viewer)

I fully expect Clete Blakeman's crew for the Saints/Atlanta game.

There might be riots in the dome if that's the case. Wouldn't be surprised to see fans trying to get on the field to punch him in the face.

Maybe not if it's actually Blakeman's crew without the former falcons player as a last minute substitution to the crew.

ETA: I think someone said you only get an officiating crew for one game each season after the ATL debacle. Anyone know if this is true? I've never paid attention in the past to whether or not we got a crew more than once in a season.

If not Blakeman's crew, then we'll probably get the crew the former falcon player is normally assigned to.

Vinovich or something like that is whose crew he is regularly on. Be on the lookout for that name. We get that crew, I'd file a grievance with the league if I were Benson/Lauscha/Loomis/Payton.

He was the main problem with Blakeman's crew last Thursday (he was the ref on our sideline, threw many of the ******** phantom calls on our defense that kept their drives alive and who didn't grant Payton the time out that got him the flag at the end of the game, I believe) and a case could be made that if he weren't the official in that game that it would have gone in a completely different direction.

Well, given that GODell is a "word I'm not allowed to say on this forum", I think he'll see to it that one of those crews get assigned to that game. He'll be trying to make the "This is My League!" statement.

Torbert has refereed three of our games since he became the referee in 2014.

2015, Week 5 @ Eagles - L
2015, Week 16 vs. Jaguars - W
2016, Week 17 @ Falcons - L

Additional tidbit, Sarah Thomas is the down judge on Torbert's crew so there is some familiararity there considering she used to officiate some of our training camp practices dating back to 2013 (I think).

Nah, there aren't any guidelines like that at the moment. We had the crew Phil McKinnely is normally on twice this season already, the first Panthers game and the Buccaneers game in the Dome.

Good news on Sarah Thomas being the down judge on this crew. I remember when she did our camp practices and Payton raved about how good of an official she was in a press conference. I'm definitely more confident in the game being called fairly with her as the down judge instead of a former falcons player...at least I hope so.

She arguably made the worst call in history though. Duke Johnson fumbles the ball and quickly recovers his own fumble. She still gave possession
to the Redskins. The worst part however is this play wasn't overturned on review.

The fact that we, as fans, have to worry about this is ridiculous. I don’t understand how such a big money industry can have such little calibration and accountability.
