What about all these off season acquisitions by the front office. Any Diamonds in a Rough? (2 Viewers)

I hope the light comes on for Kawaan Baker he has the tools to be successful
Me too. With Michael Thomas being out last year Baker surly had opportunities. Yes there’s a lot to like about his measurables:

6 foot / 210 lbs / 4.41 40 yard dash

Hand size same as M. Thomas 10 1/2”

Last year, our 7’th round pick. I was probably not the only one thinking, maybe another Marques Colston! Oh well, one season don’t make a career. Hopefully he can still turn it on.

Meh, I'm more excited by the offensive coaches brought in than the free agents.

Curry is now the passing game coordinator along with QB Coach

The offense is going to have some similar concepts but new ideas with the additions of Marrone, Kodi and Curry taking on bigger roles.
I hope they completely revamp the playbook and redo they route combinations.

It felt really stale and times felt like the DB know exactly where to sit on routes.

That's my hope too, unleash these guys and let them play to their strength and not be bogged down by route concepts and play design, line up and play.

I get the post and I like it, but let’s stop saying the saints are cap strapped.

We have the second most money available in cap space in the entire nfl currently
That’s technically money we borrowed from next year. Just because we can pay a guy 20 million this year doesn’t mean we can afford it when next year rolls around. That certainly plays a part. I get that we were prepared to sign Watson, but there would have been a lot of players lost had that happened. We are past cap-strapped. Lol. We are borrowing from ourselves.

Very true. And sad. … but truth be told … isn’t that these days the American way 😞 … or the way of the world? … We can’t do it in the real world … but the corporate world is an entirely different monster. … I guess the good thing is I’m a football fan first and foremost. 🤷‍♂️🤔

Yeah, we got fooled by Watson agent to make preparations.

Kevin White has the size/speed/strength to be an extremely dangerous WR… it’s just the greased oven mitts at the end of his wrists that are keeping him down.
Kevin White is the real life version of "Stone Hands" from the movie Necessary Roughness. If he ever got his hands together he would be a top receiver in the league.
