I have mixed feelings about the WR group. Smith obviously has proved to the coaches that he deserves to be in the mix. Ginn was never really known for his hands, but is a solid #3 guy. After that it's bad. Carr has done little to impress me. Harris is a return guy, still far to raw to depend on as a true WR. As far as Humphrey and Butler, 31 other teams agreed that at this point they didnt deserve a spot on the active roster.

I wouldn't mind having a look at other options. Anyone we sign at this point is basically on a week to week contract since they were not on the week 1 roster.

I'd say sure, kick the tires, and give him a workout. If we get desperate for a receiver or a red-zone target, he'd be on standby. No harm in a workout I say.

no

dez sounded good but in reality he was just a warm body to fill a roster spot but they hoped he never was needed to actually play.

he is too slow to be productive but if you have no one at all, he is at least someone you can dress out and use as a decoy. he isnt getting open against younger DBs so at best maybe if he has a short DB on him he can catch a high jump ball in the red zone. thats pretty much his only way to contribute at this point in his career

I'm all for it if he can help. We need someone.....MT and Kamara can't do it all. Only a matter of time before some defense takes them both away.

if he's cheap and he's ready, I don't see the harm in giving him a workout.

No downside to the team working him out when he thinks he’s ready for a comeback. If nothing else, they get a look at a guy they were interested in last season, who publicly expresses the connection and respect he feels for this organization, and if he doesn’t land elsewhere, could help this team at some point if a more urgent need arises. And outside of Thomas, it’s a questionable group for a mix of reasons. I like Ginn and Smith, but even they raise some concerns.
