what is the best rock n roll song of all time? (2 Viewers)

Money for nothing is up there IMO too. As well as a couple of early aerosmith songs like Dream on and walk this way.

I would add Making Movies by Dire Straits as one of the greatest albums of all time. the only song I didn't care for was Les Boys. It has nothing to do with the subject material, I just didn't think the song fit well with the rest of the album.

Saw REO Speedwagon at Mudbugs. Great show...Great venue

Saw them there as well, they practically had to drag them off the stage as Kevin Cronan kept playing encore after encore. Mudbug's was an old "Zayre's" store that shut down and then was converted into a large concert hall. As someone said earlier, mostly country acts, but every now and then, they would have some older, fractured rock bands trying to revive their popularity.

My wife was kind enough to record a Crosby Stills and Nash concert from 2012 that was on the AXS channel on uverse earlier this week. Watching it reminded me to add Teach Your Children and Suite Judy Blue Eyes to the list of great songs worthy of consideration. They are probably a bit too easy going for purposes of this discussion but deserve an "honorable mention". As an aside, during Suite Judy Blue Eyes, Stephen Stills played an acoustic solo that included a few riffs from Within You Without You (very psychedelic Beatles song) which was a very cool moment. It seemingly caught Crosby and Nash by surprise based on their expressions and Nash even leaned over towards the microphone and mumbled something about "George" with a bemused look on his face. Definitely worth a quick view if you get a chance to watch.
