That we maximize our draft picks and have a similar draft to that of the 2017 draft were we find 5 pro bowl caliber starters on offense and defense which sets us up for the foreseeable future.
Much easier said than done but we can sure hope.

In this scenario I can have the #1 QB, #1 pass rusher, or the the #1 CB in the draft. I still went with trade down for more picks. Seems crazy to say that. If QB was a better prospect I'm going QB all day but I'm not sure about this class. Having a top CB or Edge guy would be great but we have so many needs. Who knows.

All I know for sure is that the dream has always been to trade down. Aquire a bunch of picks. Restock the depth chart with speed and talent. Aquire future picks so that we can use those picks in the future. Hopefully drafting good ball players. Keep doing that and boom, we're basically a Patriots like dynasty. That's the dream.

Went with trading Carr for #1 pick
Mainly because it has to be a dream someone trading for Carr....
Unfortunately as SonofNola pointed out in another post it’s pointless to trade Carr prior to June 1st. The dead money/cap hit prior to June 1st is ridiculous. Just go to the over the cap website and see for yourself, it’s shocking. We’d actually save money by cutting Carr after June 1st instead of trading him before June 1st

In other words, any draft trade scenario involving Carr is pointless to consider because financially we can’t afford it.

It would be great to see the team trade back and get a more picks. We could address tightend, backup qb, and line. The shotgun approach would give us the best chance to improve.

Pipe dream: Trade down cascade:

Trade with the cowboys, 9 + 131 for 12 and 44.

Then trade 12 with Seattle for 18, 50, and a 2026 3rd

Then trade 18 and 112 with Minnesota for 24, 97, and a 2026 2nd rounder

Then Trade 24 + 248 to the eagles for 32 + 64

Then trade 32 with Jax for 38 + 88

That would net us :

36, 40, 44, 50, 64, 71, 88, 93, 97, 184, and 254. + an extra 2nd and 3rd rounder 2026

11 total picks and 9 in the top 100 in 2025.

I was able to sim this in a mock draft based accepting offers other gave me.
I took DT Tyleik Williams at 36
40. RB Omarion Hampton
44. TE Harold Fannin
50. WR Tre Harris
64. IOL Jared Wilson
71. CB Darien Porter
88. S Lathan Ransom
97. OT Hollin Pierce
184. LB Teddye Buchanan
254. S Silo Sanders

I feel like thats 4-5 day 1 starters, and 4-5 other immediate contributors.

Pipe dream, I know.
