Someone got that one started last week. You know what it's going to be. It's going to be that it doesn't matter who the HC is as long as Loomis is the GM.

Unless Loomis changes his evaluation of the team as shown by his public statements and actions over the past few years and his methods for building team, yep, it doesn't matter.
Now the new coach may have a different view of the state of the team--we are not very talented, we need a major rebuild, we need to stop extending contracts of older players, we need to trading away future and multiple draft picks.
But yes, the key person is the one charting the future direction of the franchise. If it is the new head coach who will be our de facto general manager as was Payton, then this hiring is incredibly important. If it is a continuation of the last three years, then good luck to all of us.
So you've gone from policing how everyone thinks in every other thread to creating a thread about a made up issue that you can pre argue? I think you might need to go for a walk. Now that our head coach will have won a Superbowl as the OC of another team, I'm assuming this place needs something to whine about. Is he no longer "hungry"? Does he no longer have "that dawg in him"? Is that what we're going with now? I just want to get on board at the start of this thing.

Mickey Loomis didn't recruit him, they got stuck with him because all of their top choices backed out on him. It's pretty amazing when you think about the fact that Mickey Loomis and the Saints were able to recruit the top offensive coordinator in the league who just won a Super Bowl.
naive opinion. only Glenn backed out on Saints. And you don't really know how the Saints had Glenn and Moore ranked against each other.Mickey Loomis didn't recruit him, they got stuck with him because all of their top choices backed out on him.
