Im good with our LS all the rest can be improved.

The Draft kind of reminds me of Christmas....All kinds of excitement for the possibilities for what you might get and then you open the box and its a shirt...you need the shirt....but ahh man a shirt.

I posted this in another thread (apologies for the re-post).. so just to make sure i'm making myself absolutely clear.. DB!!!!.. If the Saints pass on this guy it'd be a damn shame..

My man from Texas.. Jahdae Barron!

.. CB/Nickel/Safety.. choose where he plays, his athleticism is off the charts!

Put on the Georgia tape and you'll see exactly why Barron belongs in the first round - he's disrupting timing routes in the slot one play, then rotating to deep safety and baiting throws the next. His elite processing speed shows up snap after snap against NFL-caliber receivers. What separates him is the combination of football IQ and controlled aggression - he'll bait quarterbacks into throws underneath then drive through the catch point with violence that belies his frame.

Think a younger faster more versatile without the attitude or injuries CGJ..

..I know very well that the Saints have a LOT of holes to fill, but to pass on a guy that can play 3 positions is impressive, especially with Adebo gone now.. he has my vote without thinking twice fwiw..

NW.

Will this guy make it to pick 40? Looks impressive and a DA type of target. Not sure what Staley looks fo in DBs.

The good news is we have a lot of flexibility/options in this draft because we have so many positions of need with this roster.....I would say WR, TE, RB, OG, DE, CB, S and QB (though I don't think we will go after one until next year but who knows?) are all legit need areas.....

The bad news is this roster is not as solid as years past and we need to get younger in a lot of places.....

This draft is going to be majorly important to the CKM era....

Our biggest need right now has to be left guard no contest.

Until we find a QB this will always be my number 1.... If you lived rooting for the Saints pre Brees then you should understand why QB should always be #1

On offense, I think we need to go high, for WR, or Guard. Carr will get beat up quickly, if we can't provide protection, and a consistent running game. If the value is too high for a Guard, select a WR,, and get a Guard with the next pick. Yes, offense, with first 2 picks.

I'm thinking. Let's protect Carr as best as we can. I know the defense need's help, but are we really going win any games on defense? It was much better watching the offense score 40 pts in each of the first 2 games, than it would be watching us try and win games on defense. The defense is in better shape than the offense is anyway.

We just hired a coach to stabilize the QB position and offensive side of the ball. I think we should be 100% behind the new coach. I believe if we get behind Moore in the draft, and we would at least be setting him up for success.

I think Moore was a solid 1st time HC selection, but let's face it, if the defense is great, but we lose it on offense. The narrative would set in by some (too many), we had made another bad coaching decision. Because, no one wants to go into next season, thinking we still have to fix the QB and offensive side of the ball.

Conversely, if Carr and the offense plays very well, while we are healthy, but the defense looks like it needs help next yr. I don't think there would be the same feeling towards coach Moore, even if we only win 8, 9 games.

I'm not 100% glued to WR, Guard, as I haven't really looked at who's available yet. What are your thought's on this take?

I think we should go with guard Tyler Booker. We trade back to low 20's and pick up and extra 3rd round pick and a low rounder.

My line of thinking too. You can make the playoffs without a franchise QB. But you can’t make the superbowl without one. Every other position is far easier to upgrade but teams spend decades looking for a franchise QB.
