One of my all-time favorite games was Track and Field. I can't remember which system it was on. I would love for that one to be available via the Virtual Console on the Wii. Couple weeks ago I bought eXcite Bike and Metroid.

We use to use the cap from a Chap Stick tube to help us make the guy run faster. I miss that game and would be buying it the day it ever comes out for the Virtual Console.

Timex-Sinclair - anything decided to plug in out of pc mag/byte magazines , neat horse racing game
TI-9000 loved the baseball it had with the special controllers for fielder and batter, and speech recognition.. very advanced for that early 80's game controllers now could take some lessons from those.

Commodore 64 - SUMMER olympics, winter olympics...

people putting madden.. heck, i havent' bought one since, they got the exclusive license..
they weren't the best then. they basically got a monopoly out of the football franchise by buying the exclusive licensing from nfl. Microsoft and Sega's both were better that last year in my opinion. HEck, I question how EA got away without getting lawsuit file against it, like microsoft got sued years ago by aol and the likes for puttin msn in windows.
