We look like. 5-6 win team right now. And that is considering that we already won 2.
Somehow the offense is getting worse, not better and the defense seems to have given up knowing another 3 and out or field goal is all that the offense can produce.

Top 5 pick, maybe higher!? We don’t have any answers for our line problems on both sides and I’m not sure we have strung together more than a few decent series on offense this year. Maybe early on, but the Bucs sure looked to have us figured out. Been a long time since that was the case.

Seems about right. I just don't think you can fix offensive line problems like we have in just a season. They were decent today so I guess that is a positive. Of course Peat is Peat, so....
I voted for a top ten pick. This team has been kicking a lot of cans down the road the past three years and I think this is the year they stumble and fall on at least three of them.

My confidence got a kick in the balls today. The Offense was in disarray and anemic. And this was a game against a Division opponent in the Superdome. Inexcusable. I'm down with DA making an OC change sooner rather than later. On this trajectory, the 2023 Saints are a 7-10 team.

Ceiling is 7-10. Floor is 4-13. As bad as last year was, the whole league now has tape on the DA/PC clown show and seems to know how to stop the few things they occasionally did well last year.
Even the defense looks worse, since the 3rd quarter of last week they are literally regressing more each quarter.

And I just don’t understand how any fans can hope for this. I’d rather lose em all and have a great shot at a generational player, than be mired in mediocrity and middle of the first pick.

Defense is bad? The fact that our defense improved from last season in regards to PPG and our offense got worse from a PPG perspective is a tough pill to swallow considering the investment now. A revolving door of mediocre QB play from a fairly decent spread of skill set shouldn’t necessarily be pointed at the QB.

I have faith in most of our players, but none of our coaches.
Our two FA DT’s have done nothing but get pushed back. They don’t create any pressure in the pass rush, don’t maintain their lanes, and haven’t been sturdy against the run either. Our rookie DT Bresee has been the only DT worth a dang. I’ve seen him hustle and fight his butt off.
Carr is average at best. Either he doesn’t have confidence in the WR’s, he doesn’t know where everyone is, or he just really wants the big play. There were a few drives today where he got rid of the ball quick and we moved down the field. Then he went back to holding the ball and we couldn’t do Jack. We should have went after Baker Mayfield instead.
Other than AK, our RB’s have been garbage.
Pete Carmichael needs to just step down and save face. If it’s true he didn’t want the job in the first place, it shows in his play design, calls, and lack of adjustments. If you know the O-line can’t block for very long, don’t call plays that take 4 seconds or longer to develop. If nothing else, watch tape of competent offenses like the 49ers, Eagles, Chiefs, etc and steal some plays.
Allen has no passion or fire and it shows in our player’s performance. It showed in Olave’s performance today half butt running routes. He has a 50’s-70’s mentality to grind it out and score just enough. Sadly, our offense is too inept to score enough.
Until we get a new coaching staff I see this team only getting worse.
