Hi everyone, my vacation to New Orleans is looming nearer and nearer, so I would like to know where's located the best Saints' merchandise shop in town.

:za_thanx:

Black and Gold Shop
Academy Sports and Outdoors
You'll even find Saints stuff in the CVS and Walgreen's pharmacies.

Do you mean the one located in Metairie? They have other shops around the city or not?

Unfortunately not. But its 100% better than the other options. So if you're flying in, try to work it into a trip to/from the airport. Otherwise there is always the Saints Pro Shop at the Superdome which is now huge, but overpriced. And there may still be a Sports Avenue in Riverside, can anyone confirm that?

Yeah there was two sports avenues in riverside. That's where I got one of my jerseys in September.

Black & Gold Shop has the most Saints stuff.

Black & Gold Shop.

But at the risk of sounding snobby, I wish they would stock it with some simpler, classier stuff. A lot of the merchandise they carry is pretty tacky.

I've had a long-sleeve black shirt with a single small gold fleur-de-lis for years - it's gotten so much wear it's almost falling apart. but they don't offer much like that anymore, everything has huge gold swoops, swooches, spikes, and monster-font text all over it.

Riverside, not to be confused with Lakewalk.

Invictus-- I meant to say Riverwalk, its a mall over by Harrah's and the Convention Center so if you're staying downtown its accessible

I believe the Saints Team store is MUCH better than the Black and Gold in Metairie. It is also much bigger. After all, it is the Team's official store. Located @ gate A off of Poydras. They are also more stocked with more selections than the B&G store on veterans IMHO.

Not a rant at all when you are telling the truth! This is exactly what I thought as well. I did manage to find a nice Polo but that was it.

Its much pricier though. I specifically remember the realtree Brees jersey being $100 at B&G and $139 at the team store. Also B&G will have a lot of stuff thats not NFL licensed, like for instance I got some fleur de lis ice trays/molds there. But yes the Saints Team store will have just about everything you can get on NFLshop and the team's website without the shipping.

Thank you for the info, is this the one located inside or just outside the Superdome? Is it always open or just when there is a game played?

bayou sports on the westbank

Thank you for the info as well, I just checked the map but if it's the shop located in Terrytown it won't be so simple for me to reach (I'll probably walk around the French Quarter/Garden District area and use a lot the RTA).
