Which trick play(s) do you see the Saints running? (1 Viewer)

I wouldn't call this a trick play per se, but I can see us running a no huddle on the first possession. If you remember New England did that to us earlier in the season and we couldn't get the sub packages on the field fast enough. I can really see that happening to start the game. Maybe have like 10-15 plays scripted for the first set. Not letting Seattle change personnel. Get a quick 7 to knock the wind out of the 12th man sail.

How about an onside kick to start the second half.....wait a minute, we've already done that.

I'll take any trick play as long as it WORKS! For any trick play to work, it has to have some element of surprise, and it MUST be executed....everybody has to carry out their assignments. I would also rather it be set up, like with having an effective run game, or taking advantage of an over aggressive D, like SEAs, and to use it when wanted, not when needed, like on a critical 4th n 1. :jpshakehead:

That said, how about a half back pass from Tavaris Cadet. Tavaris Cadet? Many may not know TC did it all when he played his college ball at App St. incuding some time at QB. He's left handed, so best to go left with the play. A deep pass to Meach (who's usually in on run plays as a blocker), or maybe even a pass to Drew who's all alone after sneakin out to the right after making the pitch to TC. But, since he hasnt seen much time in the lineup, SEA might smell it out. Then again, if we are running alot, which we probaly will, maybe he can get in the game early on, and get a carry or 2 first to set up the play.

Just a :loco: thought!

I kind of hope we just smash them in the mouth with good execution of straight up plays. Seems our track record with tricks is less than 20% success. I'd rather take my chances that an angry good team can play straight up and win than roll the dice on end arounds and flipping the ball loosely all over the place.

I'm more concerned about turnovers than style points. If you have a bad defense taking chances, sure, trick them. If you have a good defense on the other side, don't insult them, just find the creases and make the most of what you can doing what you do best.

1. Toss sweep throwback to Drew who can pass deep

2. Morstead run and pitch out right as he's about to get blasted

I am feeling the sureness that Sean has some tricks up his sleeve for this one.

Seattle is so obsessed with playing the 49ers next week and is so cocky they are getting the win that they are ripe for some trickeration.

We don't normally do many trick plays but when we do its a doozie. We play so wide open that a trick play is almost unnecessary. When Payton went through a little conservative phase we played poorly. If nothing else this game will be played to win, not to not lose.

Remember the game against Tampa when we ran that stupid reverse to Bush and he fumbled, losing the game for us? That was freaking brutal.

trick plays do not seem to work for us and Payton seems to know exactly when to stall an offensive series by dialing up one of these stupid plays.. ever since the onside kick in Superbowl 44 teams are expecting us to pull some stunt... just line up and pound the crap out of them and quit trying to be cute.. We need to go Kyle Turley on Seattle's secondary..those punks got it coming to them.

I bet we'll probably see a lateral or reverse on a kickoff return. Just have a feeling.

And a Hook and Lateral on offense would be something I've definitely haven't seen us do much before, and would easily get them off guard with the lack of it in game film of our trick plays.

With running backs like Reggie Bush/Darren Sproles and big possession receivers like Colston and Graham it still surprises me we have never run the hook and ladder

Otherwise, Seattle were very aggressive shutting down our screens. Double screen fake and either straight down the seam or a draw run
