Biggest one is obviously Charles Grant followed by Hollis Thomas followed by Joe Horn.

Who else can test the open waters?

that doesnt' guarantee he will be a saint next year

But that doesn't mean he is a risk to be lost. If we are specifically talking about someone who is a risk to lose, then Horn is not a risk since the Saints essentially can control him.

Charles Grant, Hollis Thomas, Jon Stinchcomb, Scott Shanle, Rodney Leisle, Michael Lewis.

Grant and Thomas are keepers for sure. Stinch is reaaly close to a sure fire keeper, but I think Streif could hold the RT job down. I hope we keep Shanle, that kid is a baller.

*Note: Don't know why Charles Grant isn't listed? May be an oversight?...

Thanks.

We look to be in great shape for 2007 and in a position to make some substantial defensive upgrades, which is great considering how crazy good and super young the offense is. Most of those guys are easily re-signed if the Saints decide they want them back.

I thought we gave Danny Clark a 3 year deal? But that list does seem outdated, if not poorly put together. It hasn't been updated, but people like Verdon aren't even on the team anymore.

Regarding Stinch: He is an RFA...he will be back.

/Cue Clark vs. Sim debate. :hihi:

Every Free Agent listing site I have seen does not have Charles Grant listed. I too have been wondering this same thing.

Holland, Montrae OG UFA - Goner
Lake, Antwan DT UFA - Keeper
Leisle, Rodney DT RFA - Keeper

I agree with your keepers and goners mostly. Not sure if Lake will be shown the door and I'm not sure if Shanle needs to stay depending on who we bring in.

Also, Danny Clark. I'd like to keep him too, but if he isn't going to get much playing time, I don't see why someone of his caliber would want to stay here...

I forgot about Polley. Too bad he got injured cause I think he'd be an upgrade over Shanle, especially in blitzing situations - that guy is crazy fast for a LBer.

It shows updated through 11/06. That's less than 60 days ago. I'm sure they are probably errors on it. I.E. Grant

I heard Stinchcomb was a UFA and was most likely to test the FA market.

Also heard Grant was likely to stay for top 10 money which they will offer him.

Then you've heard a lot...some of which differs among the links above. But either way, you've heard a lot.

Stichcomb is definitely a Restricted Free Agent (RFA). Can't comment on Grant... Haven't seen or heard anymore since the Insider Report.
