Who should start on Friday: McCown or Griffin? (1 Viewer)

Obviously this is contingent on whether Brees would play which it's looking more like he isn't. So with that being said who should get the starting nod on Friday against the Titans. I definitely think Payton only wants to keep one other QB on the active roster and Griffin may not get past waivers if he is cut. That's why I think Griffin should get the start and show his stuff against the other team number one defense. The more I see of Griffin I like and get more comfortable of the idea of him backing up Mr. Brees. What you other Who Dats think?

You don't necessarily start the guy you like the most. You start the guy you most need to look at. If McCown Starts, it will likely be because they really need to look at him. And Vice Versa. Either way they will both get plenty of snaps.

Give Griffin the first half and Kilgore the second half. McCown is a 33 year old career backup we know what we have with him give the young guys who have upside the reps

God forbid that Brees is truly incapacitated, McNown gets hurt during preseason and we begin the season with Ryan Griffin at QB. Talk about panic, that's a nightmare from the pit of hades.
