We might see one team go off each week, but even some of the best talented offenses are not even putting up 200+ passing yards. Bo Nix had like 70 yard passing in a 10-9 win.

Are defenses and defensive players have better talent than what offensives can produce? Even Mahomes and KC has trouble on offense now it seems.

Too many highly drafted QB's being forced to start wk 1, or at least yr 1.

An assortment of things but what It really boils down to is training camp use to be two practices a day and preseason was 4 games long.

Teams that have been together have an early edge.

Injuries that happened are more fleshed out due to the rigorous off-season.

Now the real hits and injuries are happening in the beginning of the year so teams are having a hard time grabbing sustainability.

Today's NFL mid-season form really is when football picks up the most and teams start to separate themselves. These early games are just a cluster of throwing stuff against the wall and hoping it sticks.

In our case it did, but the injuries mounted and we aren't beating anyone if we keep losing players to soft tissue injuries and moderate Injuries. The good news is we haven't had any extremely bad injuries as of yet so there's a lot of hope that we keep pushing and as players come back our dominance will return.

Not enough practice and they've pretty much eliminated preseason for starters with only three games to evaluate other talent. Then guys who have or who are due a big $$ contract Definitely not playing.

Qbs not as good as they were 5 years ago. We will never see a league with Brees, Rothlisberger, Brady, Rogers, Peyton playing at same time again. Mid tiers qbs werre plentiful also

Shorter training camps, less padded practices and meaningless preseason games.

Lots of things. High level QB play is where it starts IMO. I do think a major factor is what College systems ask them to do, and the college defenses they face…. Opposed to what the NFL requires of them and how incredibly fast NFL defenses are in comparison. The leadership and learning curve is pretty steep when they transition to the Pros. Great QB play is the one constant equalizer when it comes to consistent success on offense. You see what happens to teams when they lose one. Nearly all other aspects of the team mean very little. The great ones typically find a way to win even when the other parts of the team are not their best or even unavailable.

I think you have to give some credit to the defensive adjustments. Sean Payton said last year that he was seeing red zone defenses that he had never seen before and was hoping to start incorporating them in Denver. The pendulum is always swinging.
