I'm serious, he should wear it around his neck during games and freak people out.

I have zero concerns about his finger amputation in regards to his play. You can brace it and get back on the field almost instantly.

But I am concerned about his mysterious shoulder injury, and his next injury, and the one after that, and the one after that
